The Coconut
Industry Board
The Coconut Industry Board is a statutory body established by the Coconut Industry Control Act of 1945. It is responsible for monitoring and informing the Government of Jamaica of the state of the coconut industry, advising growers of agronomic best practices and providing quality planting materials.

About Us
The Jamaican Coconut Industry Board and its stakeholders promotes the sustainable cultivation of coconuts, provides ongoing research, creates local and international marketing opportunities, and oversees the implementation of laws governing the import, sale, and purchase of coconut products and their substitutes. We also aim to improve the socioeconomic circumstances of coconut growers, processors, traders, and other stakeholders who depend on the crop for a living.
We Manufacture and Sell Coconut-Based Products

The Coconut Shop, the Board's retail outlet, is located at our head office at 18 Waterloo Road in Kingston, Jamaica. We sell a wide range of coconut products including Jelly Coconuts, Coconut Water, Coconut Oil and Coconut Treats and Snacks.

Our Research Department
Our research department focuses on various areas, including plant breeding and pathology, crop disease management, weed control systems, tissue culture, crop cover efficiency, germination improvement, soil testing, optimising fertiliser levels, and implementing soil conservation measures.
